Objective 2: Analyze relationships among whole numbers, commonly used fractions, and decimals.
Objective 3: Model and illustrate meanings of the addition and subtraction of fractions.
Objective 4: Solve problems involving addition and subtraction of simple fractions.
Objective 5: Compute problems involving addition and subtraction.
Students in 4th grade study fractions. They learn to divide regions or parts of a whole into equal parts and understand how to represent a written fraction. The students will also learn how to generate equivalent fractions and add and subtract fractions.
